Can Violence Achieve Peace??? (Part 2/3)

From north to south and east to west, people are engaged in violence and activities they would describe as pacifying, like war. As soon as people think about making peace, they think of ending wars, and to end wars they think of more wars. So, according to many people gaining peace is like fighting another one of those wars. To tell the truth, it is these people who are the barriers in achieving that peace. They are the hindrances of world tranquility. That is because they do not realize that gaining peace requires the contentment and happiness of the heart. They think that by correcting others and stopping wars, peace would be gained. What they do not know is the fact that it all has to start from one point, and that point is the change in their thinking, and a change in their own hearts, not the hearts of others. That change has to be a change of love. This means that one has to find serenity in his heart to find calamity in the world. That serenity in the heart comes with the unconditional love we develop for our selves and the others around us. To develop love for our selves, we need to know who we are, the reason of our existence and our position in this world. These people don’t realize that if our hearts are over ruled by love and contentment, we will not need to achieve peace but it will come to us.

To be continued...
